What we collect
When you contact us or request a quote, we may collect:
- Your name
- Phone number and/or email address
- Postcode or area
- Details of the job you describe
- Photos you choose to upload
- Preferred visit dates or urgency, if you provide them
If you use our website chat assistant (Aria), we process the messages and any photos you send in that session so we can respond.
When you accept optional cookies, our analytics and advertising partners may also receive technical data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser type and referral information. See our cookie policy.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
- Responding to your enquiry and providing a quote — legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before a contract.
- Booking and carrying out work you accept — contract.
- Follow-up about an open quote — legitimate interests. You can opt out of follow-up emails when submitting the form.
- Website analytics and advertising measurement — consent, given through our cookie banner.
- Legal and accounting records — legal obligation and legitimate interests where applicable.
Where data is stored and who processes it
Enquiries and customer records are stored in our own database hosted on Neon (PostgreSQL). The public website is hosted on Vercel. Outbound email notifications are sent through Resend. Uploaded photos may be stored on Vercel Blob storage.
If you accept optional cookies, data may also be processed by:
- Google (Google Analytics 4) — website usage analytics
- Meta (Meta Pixel) — advertising measurement and audience building
These providers may process data in the UK, EEA, US or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as needed to respond, quote, deliver work, resolve disputes and meet legal or tax requirements. Marketing follow-up stops if you opt out or unsubscribe. Analytics and advertising cookies are described in our cookie policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability where applicable. You may withdraw cookie consent at any time using Cookie settings in the site footer.
